Those crazy, wacky baseball names

Major League Baseball season is upon us and every year at this time, I check the box scores daily and am simply amazed at some of the great names there are in baseball. You won't find players with names like these in the NFL or the NBA or the SHCL for that matter. (That's the Saracens Hertsfordshire Cricket League, in case you didn't know.)

I have prepared lists like the one below before and emailed them to friends so, if you've seen these before, bear with me. I just had to get this out of my system one more time.

And, as always, this list has been compiled under the watchful gaze of the law firm of Mientkiewicz, Ensberg, Schoeneweis, Lieberthal & Inge with an assist from the crack CPA firm of Bloomquist, Eckstein, Isringhausen, Tulowitzki & Blum. My thanks to all for their continued assistance.

At least your Fanatasy baseball man Grady Sizemore is doing well - three games, three homers.

Grady's the only one who's doing anything with a bat. Thank goodness for Daisuke's debut yesterday. He dug me out of last place. But what the heck, it's Week One. I can't complain. Too much.

YES broadcaster Michael Kay told the world that Bubba Crosby and Bobby Crosby were brothers, back when Bubba first came up with the Yanks.

Michael Kay, eh? And I thought I was the only person dispersing misinformation on a regular basis. Next thing y'know, Buster Olney will say that Bing is their grandfather.
