Long before there was a much-ballyhooed and over-rated movie starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, 2 of the most unlikely Johnny and June Cash lookalikes you could ever find, there was this forgettable Frankenheimer clunker, the best part of which were the songs and music by the Man in Black.  [Yes, I originally posted that River Phoenix starred as Johnny Cash.  Who knew he was still dead?  My good friend Pavlos, a nouveau grand-pere, graciously pointed out the error of my ways.]
